Equipment Introduction

The QCW (Quasi-Continuous Wave) laser welding machine combines both spot and continuous welding modes. With 30% photoelectric conversion efficiency and a maintenance-free design, it offers much higher performance and lower cost than traditional lamp-pumped YAG lasers.

It is ideal for welding thin-wall materials and precision parts. The system supports multiple welding types—spot, butt, lap, and seal welding—either in single-point or continuous modes. It delivers high peak power, stable output, and excellent beam quality, making it especially suitable for applications requiring long pulse durations and precise control.

Thanks to its compatibility, most existing YAG systems can be upgraded to QCW systems with minimal modification.

1. What is a QCW laser welding machine and how does it work?
QCW (Quasi-Continuous Wave) laser welding combines the features of both pulsed and continuous lasers. It delivers high peak power for precision welding and supports longer pulse durations for better stability.

2. What are the advantages of QCW laser welding compared to pulsed or continuous welding?
It offers higher energy per pulse than pulsed lasers and more control than continuous lasers. It’s ideal for applications that require deep welds with minimal heat distortion.

3. What materials are suitable for QCW laser welding?
Suitable for stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, copper, nickel, and other reflective or thin metals used in electronics, batteries, and medical devices.

4. Can QCW laser welding be automated or integrated with fixtures?
Yes. QCW machines support multi-axis motion control and can be integrated with automated systems, precision fixtures, and wire feeders.

5. What are the typical industries using QCW laser welding?
Common in battery manufacturing, electronic parts, medical devices, sensors, and fine metal components that require precision and strength.
